The association intervenes in the event of academic failure or
at the request of the member or his parents. Through this follow-up, we aim for the positive success of the young person at school. This begins with the analysis of the reports – therefore, the timely delivery of these reports is necessary and mandatory.
Secondly, when the NPO considers it necessary, school support sessions are planned. They can take several forms:
– Participation in a homework school
– Individualized support meetings
There are two homework schools: one for primary school students (Goujons Street, 63 in 2019/2020) and one for secondary school students (in ARLDV premises). These homework schools are open three times a week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. They are accessible to our members as well as to ARLDV students. An additional homework school is organized during exams, in other words, three times a year – in December, June and August (for those, unfortunately too numerous, who are preparing second session exams). Individual support is organized on the premises of the association, after a prior interview with the member and the parents The goal goes beyond simply doing homework and studying lessons, but aims to fill in any gaps or work on a new method of working. Each mode of intervention is proposed in consultation with the parent and the child, within the limits of supervision capacities.
